Apiary Workday at Stony Ridge Apiaries

If you'd like to see the beekeeping process in more depth and learn about some of the basics, come out to help me in the beeyard! We will be checking honey levels in the hives, removing full frames of honey, and adding empty frames. We'll review the basics of the different roles bees fill in the hive and what those bees look like. We'll also examine the difference between frames of honey and frames of pollen.

I will provide beesuits, gloves and water. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and long socks.
